Sim Local is the global leader in travel SIM card and eSIM retail. Our business caters to global travellers so they can stay connected and avoid expensive roaming charges.

We sell local SIM cards and eSIM Profiles direct to customers through our Sim Local retail stores, kiosks, vending machines, mobile app, and eShop.

Sim Local founded by Irish entrepreneur Killian Whelan - First retail shop established in Dublin Airport

Sim Local is awarded the contract for their first store in London Heathrow Airport.

Sim Local continues to expand with additional stores at London Heathrow

Sim Local now operate across multiple terminals at Heathrow, as well as in partner locations around the world.

Sim Local secures vending contracts for London Gatwick

Our vending units are located in airports and partner stores, and let our customers get connected quickly, at any time.

2017
Exclusive partnership with WHSmith Travel Agreed

Sim Local secures contract to supply local SIM cards in WHSmith UK airport store portfolio.

2019
Exclusive international concession agreement signed with WHSmith international stores with openings in Madrid and Copenhagen. Supply agreement signed with tourist service WeKnow London.
2020
Concession agreement with US Airport Multiple, InMotion & Marshall Group. Delivery of eSIM technology through retail integration.

2021
Sister company NetLync launches and further airport expansion secured

Sim Local launches its sister company NetLync to capitalise on opportunities with eSIM. New store openings in Heathrow T5, Heathrow T3 and Brussels airport.

2022
Sim Local's expansion continues

Two stores open in Athens International airport, Greece, followed by an additional three stores in London Heathrow and new vending machines in Dublin Airport, Ireland.
