Interim Head of Growth Marketing & Partnerships (Maternity Leave Cover)

We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded, and data-driven growth leader to lead our B2C growth strategy during a maternity leave cover period. This role will own acquisition, retention, partnerships, organic growth, and team leadership across multiple international markets, with a particular focus on the UK and US.

Key Responsibilities

Growth Strategy & Commercial Performance

  • Own and execute Sim Local's B2C growth strategy across acquisition, retention, and partnership channels.
  • Drive traffic, customer acquisitions, revenue growth, and profitability.
  • Develop annual plans, forecasts, budgets, and growth scenarios.
  • Monitor and optimize channel performance through ROI, CPA, CAC, LTV, ARPU, and revenue analysis.
  • Present performance updates, forecasts, and recommendations to senior leadership.

SEO, AI Search & Organic Growth

  • Lead SEO strategy, including technical SEO, content optimization, and organic growth initiatives.
  • Develop AI Search Optimization (AEO) strategies to improve visibility across AI-powered discovery platforms such as ChatGPT and Google AI.
  • Identify opportunities to increase search visibility, AI citations, traffic, and revenue through content and technical improvements.

Affiliates & Digital Partnerships

  • Manage and scale affiliate marketing programs and strategic digital partnerships.
  • Build relationships with publishers, creators, comparison sites, marketplaces, and commercial partners.
  • Drive acquisition growth while maintaining healthy ROI and CPA targets.

CRM, Retention & Referrals

  • Own CRM strategy across customer lifecycle, retention, loyalty, referral, and re-engagement programs.
  • Develop and optimize automated customer journeys, including post-purchase, referral, subscription, win-back, and cross-sell campaigns.
  • Improve customer retention, repeat purchases, engagement, and customer lifetime value.
  • Leverage customer data and segmentation to drive revenue growth without additional acquisition spend.

Content, PR & Brand Visibility

  • Define and oversee content strategy across key growth markets.
  • Manage external PR agencies and strategic campaigns.
  • Increase brand visibility through content, partnerships, reviews, community platforms, and earned media.

Analytics & Performance

  • Own reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis across all growth channels.
  • Translate complex data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Build business cases and prioritize initiatives based on expected commercial impact.

Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of 5–8 marketing professionals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Commercial, CRM, Data, and Technology teams.
  • Ensure alignment between growth initiatives and business objectives.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Growth Marketing, Digital Marketing, Performance Marketing, SEO, Partnerships, CRM, or similar leadership roles.
  • Proven experience growing traffic, customer acquisitions, and revenue for marketplace, eCommerce, travel, telecom, SaaS, or digital consumer businesses.
  • Experience leading teams of at least 5–8 people.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, Technical SEO, AI/AEO, affiliate marketing, CRM, content strategy, and digital partnerships.
  • Experience managing agencies and external stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial mindset with excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
