Skiing (and snowboarding) in Europe have a reputation for being expensive, but the good news is that enjoying the slopes doesn’t have to break the bank.

With ski tickets, we looked at ticket prices at the start of the high season in 2025; mainly mid January (weekend). With Airbnb, we looked at January weekend prices and excluded outliers to tally up a (rough) average. With hotels, we looked at 5-10 of the top-rated hotels on Google Maps and estimated the average price for one night during a weekend in mid January.
We found that Brasov, Romania is the cheapest for ski passes and accommodation, but the difference isn’t big. You will also need to consider flights and the journey from the airport to the ski town. Here are the top cheap ski resorts in Europe.👇
